Larry Sanders is a trusted real estate advisor serving buyers and sellers across Central Virginia with Hometown Realty and a member of The Umbrella Group. Since entering the business in 2007, he has built his career on helping clients make confident decisions through changing markets while delivering a steady, experienced approach to every transaction.
Prior to real estate, Larry managed the construction of more than 150 homes across Central Virginia, giving him a practical understanding of the building process from land development to closing. He also began his real estate career during a recession, shaping the calm, grounded perspective he brings to clients today. In addition, Larry actively invests in flip and rental properties, further strengthening his ability to guide both homeowners and investors through strategic decisions.
As a member of The Umbrella Group, Larry plays an active role in agent development, contributing to training, education, and leadership initiatives designed to elevate production, professionalism, and long-term success across the team.
Beyond real estate, Larry and his wife Jen are deeply invested in their community. Together they co-founded Readers to Leaders, a nonprofit providing books to children in underserved areas. He also serves as President of the Blue Star Youth Football & Cheer organization and founded Disciplined Dads, a group supporting fathers through life transitions.
Larry lives in Ashland with Jen and their two sons, Hayden and Dean.
